History

Aspro, Inc. was founded in July 1973 with the purchase of an asphalt plant and a sand and gravel deposit from Waterloo Dredging Company. In its first five years of operation, Aspro, Inc. was strictly a producer of asphalt, sand and gravel. In 1978, asphalt paving construction crews were added which accelerated growth even more. Today, Aspro operates two asphalt plants in the Waterloo area and offers asphalt paving, general road and street construction as well as commercial parking lot construction in the Waterloo/Cedar Falls area and the surrounding counties.
